Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey T. Falcone is the Commander, 21st Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. He organizes, trains, and equips Special Tactics Teams for world-wide deployment in support of Combatant Command priorities and requirements. The squadron executes both combat and peacetime missions across all threat environments and political situations. Lt Col Falcone received his commission in 2005 as a distinguished graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. His career includes assignments as a graduate student at the Air Force Institute of Technology, civil engineer section chief, Special Tactics flight commander, director of operations, and squadron commander. He also served on the Air Staff in the Checkmate strategy directorate. Lt Col Falcone deployed to Afghanistan twice as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
