A time to remember

As is tradition at Memorial Day ceremonies, the highest ranking Airman on base, Brig. Gen. Darren McDew, 43rd Airlift Wing commander, and the lowest ranking Airman on base, Airman Basic Camille Howard, 3rd Aerial Port Squadron, presented the wreath of flowers at the Memorial Day ceremony held May 25 at the air park in honor of all those who serve and sacrifice in the military.

The base is named in honor of Staff Sgt. Scott Sather, a combat controller assigned to Pope's 24th Special Tactics Squadron who was killed in combat in Iraq on April 8, 2003.
