POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. -- The command surgeon of Air Mobility Command, Brig. Gen. Kory Cornum, visited the 43rd Airlift Group Apr. 22 to meet with medical Airmen and learn about their units' missions and initiatives.

During his visit, Cornum met with Col. Kenneth Moss, commander of the 43rd Airlift Group, toured Pope's medical facilities and met with Airmen from the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Pope Dental Clinic, 43rd Medical Squadron's Bioenvironmental Engineering, Mental Health, Womack Army Medical Center's orthopedics, Troop and Family Medical Clinic and held an all call with medical Airmen presenting several command-level awards.

The General also presented several of his commander coins and AMC's 'Real Pro' awards to select Airmen during his visit, recognizing their outstanding duty performance.
