Hurricane Maria
POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. — Airman 1st Class Stephen Johnson, 43d Air Mobility Squadron load team member, adjusts rigging on a pallet of water at the Arrival and Departure Airfield Control Group here Sept. 27. Airmen in the 43d AMS loaded pallets of food and water, and assisted in loading a 45,000-pound generator on a C-5M Super Galaxy headed for San Juan, Puerto Rico, following the strike of Hurricane Maria. The generator will be used to supply power for air traffic control operations in Puerto Rico, ensuring the steady flow of relief supplies. (U.S. Air Force photo/Marc Barnes)
