New chute Testing

The 2nd and 95th Airlift Squadrons, as well as the 19th and 145th AS from Little Rock and Charlotte Air Force Bases, teamed with Fort Bragg to conduct a test for Low Cost Low Altitude parachutes Dec. 9. The test involved several passes over the Luzon Drop Zone during which the LCLA parachutes were deployed. A C-130 tailflash is 11.5 inches high and 8 feet long. Tail flahses are unique to each wing. The 440th AW's new tail colors combine elements from the unit's long and rich history with its North Carolina location. (Courtesy photo)
