On March 27, 2026, retired Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC) Ramón "CZ" Colón-López visited Pope Army Airfield to talk about his time as SEAC and share the lessons he learned. The SEAC is the highest enlisted position in the United States Armed Services. This role is the principal adviser to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on enlisted matters.

Airmen help by flying and maintaining aircraft, escorting paratroopers and some Airmen jump with the Army.

Pope AAF Aircrew Briefing Room Named After Deceased Airman

Rooms and places of gatherings within the Air Force are historically named after Airmen who make an impact on the mission or accomplish heroic or valorous feats. A plaque on a wall, an inscription and commemoration of efforts can sometimes only be overshadowed by the memory of the individuals who served. The 43rd Operations Support Squadron named the Aircrew Briefing Room after such a hero. The room was dedicated as the Harris S. Luther III Aircrew Briefing Room, Sept. 19, 2024.
