POPE FIELD, North Carolina --

Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost, Air Mobility Command commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Brian Kruzelnick, AMC command chief, visited Pope Army Airfield, N.C., Dec. 3-4, 2020. They met with Pope senior leaders and Airmen from across the base, learned how our Airmen are staying resilient, and received feedback on diversity and inclusion efforts at Team Pope. They took a turn moving cargo with daily mission movers and saw the pivotal role the team plays enabling rapid global mobility along with our other mission partners, and what the 43rd Air Mobility Operations Group is doing to support AMC’s Joint All Domain Command & Control (JADC2) efforts to connect sensors and people across the Joint Force.

Van Ovost and Kruzelnick finished their visit by experiencing how AMC Projects the Joint Force through collaboration with the Army and other mission partners toward a Joint All-Domain Command and Control structure. The 352nd Special Warfare Training Squadron showed off the Benini Heritage Center, the 18th Air Support Operations Group demonstrated tactical data-link capabilities in the field, and Army Lt Gen Erik Kurilla met with leadership before they flew the friendly skies.
