43d AMOG kicks off 2018 with joint airdrop training

POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. — An Airman from the 437th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., conducts a pre-airdrop inspection on the side door of a C-17 Globemaster III during joint airdrop training on Green Ramp here Jan. 10, 2018. The 437th AW regularly flies training and real-world missions out of Pope Field. The 43d ABS is part of the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group, an Air Mobility Command unit here which supports airlift training and real-world operations for Army and Air Force conventional and special operations units at Fort Bragg, moving millions of pounds of cargo and thousands of passengers each year.
