Team Pope Highlight

This #TeamPopeHighlight features Tech Sgt. Tyler Jones, 43rd Air Mobility Squadron asset management section chief. He oversees operations of seven sections consisting of eleven Airmen and three civilians. Jones manages the workflow of Airmen and informs them of any gear request that has come in. While managing operations of the sections, he also makes sure all the Airmen are achieving their training requirements. Jones loves teaching the Airmen about the job and how to be leaders of their own. This is why he applied to be a Material Management Technical Training School Instructor. Jones wanted to become an instructor when he first joined. To become an instructor, Jones had to meet different requirements like leadership skills, hold a certain rank and complete an interview. Soon Jones will leave Pope Army Airfield to become an instructor at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, TX.
