Pope Holiday Events

Angel Tree
is a program sponsored by the Pope Chapel that provides gifts to needy Airmen. This program continues until Dec. 9. Visit the base chapel and sponsor an angel. Volunteers will be needed Dec. 9 to sort and wrap gifts. For more information, call Staff Sgt. Timothy Tabisz or Capt.Charles Hollstein at 394-2677.

Social Services foster care sponsorsThe 43rd Security Forces Squadron and the local Social Services Foster Department teamed up to provide holiday gifts for children in foster care. This year, the foster care facility houses more than 500 children who have a wish list. To participate and pick up a wish list, call Tech. Sgt. Steve Kennedy at 394-1066 or visit building 378.

Operation Gift Lift

In conjunction with Fort Bragg's Operation Toy Drop, the 2nd and 95th Airlift Squadrons are executing Operation Gift Lift to provide gifts for needy local residents. The gifts will be delivered Dec. 5 as part of Operation Toy Drop. Donations should be dropped off at the duty desk in building 738 before Dec. 3. For more information, call Capt. Team Pope Toy Trot

Family members are invited to cheer on their Airmen in the Pope Wing Toy Trot and Fun Run Dec. 4. Participants of the 1.1-mile run have the chance to win individual awards for best costume and unit awards for most toys donated, most team spirit and most festive unit. Show time is 2:30 p.m. and the run begins at 3:15 p.m. Come take part in this great opportunity to donate toys to the Angel Tree. For more information, call Capt. Dana Parker at 394-6294.
