St. Nick Project Published Nov. 14, 2009 POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The Pope Spouses' Association is gearing up for the annual St. Nick Project. The St. Nick Project is an outreach to single Airmen living in the dormitories, and has quickly become a favorite tradition in early December on Pope. The project is in its third year and will be spreading some holiday cheer in the form of goodie bags to nearly 400 young Airmen living in the dorms. Though not deployed to forward locations, these young patriots still find themselves many miles from family and friends during the holiday season. The goal is to fill their combat boots with holiday cheer to let Pope's Airmen know their service is appreciated. We appreciate the support and generosity of surrounding businesses and communities. With the exception of bar soap, all donations are accepted.
