Kurt Everest 43rd Medical Operations Squadron Job description: I assist in treatment and rehabilitation of mental health patients. Date entered the military: Nov. 19, 2001. Reason entered the military: I joined for education and for citizenship. Who has been the most influential person in your career? I really couldn't give just one name, but Staff Sgt. Ken Key is always helpful. Other great people who have guided me are Maj. Alicia Edwards, Maj. Teresa Hughes, Capt. John Warburton and Staff Sgt. Veronica Hager. Short term goals: Complete my bachelor's degree and pay off my mortgage. Long term goals: Become an officer, live a healthy life and retire to a quiet place. What do you think is the best thing about Pope, and why? Location -- close to the mountains and not far from the beach. If you could change one thing about Pope, what would it be, and why? I would make a shuttle service for the people who live in the dorms but do not have vehicles.
