Pope's Air Force Sergeants Association Chapter 367 beautified Meyers Park during Fayetteville's annual city wide clean-up, "Fayetteville Beautiful", April 19.

Chapter 367 adopted Meyers Park several years ago and has been lauded for the community relations it has maintained throughout those years and for its effort in making the park a better place for families to relax and play.

Chapter 367 policed and cleaned the park, filling 75 large trash bags with yard litter. The chapter's members also participated in the recent Endurance Relay -- The Extra Mile at Pope, the Salute To Our Troops parade in Raleigh, NC and the North Carolina Strawberry Festival in Chadbourn.

Some upcoming events for this chapter include AFJROTC ceremonies held throughout May in North Carolina, Bike Week at Myrtle Beach and a membership appreciation picnic. Those who would like to volunteer for the Bike Week event, should call Staff Sgt. Jose Cordova at 394-7127. Individuals who would like to volunteer for the picnic should call Tech. Sgt. Denise Knoll at 394-5108. For more legislation news, check out AFSA at www.afshq.org.
