Chad Steel, 2nd Airlift Squadron Job description: C-130 aircraft commander, flight safety officer Date entered military: May 10, 2001 Reason entered military: My family has a strong military tradition, going back to the American Revolution, so I continued it. Most influential in career: My dad, Charlie Steel, and a high school teacher, Lt. Col. Dale Morin (ret.), are both Godly influences in my life and career. Short-term goals: I'd like to return to Arizona and become an instructor pilot in the EC or HC-130. Long-term goals: Someday, I want to not be deployed enough to become a baseball coach. Other than that, I'm still waiting for the ASU Sun Devils to win a national championship. What is the best thing about Pope, and why: Being a west coaster, I enjoy being able to travel all around the east coast while I'm here. If there was one thing you could change about Pope, what would it be, and why: I would like it if wearing blues on Tuesdays was optional.
