Civilians need to complete No Fear Act Training Published Dec. 7, 2006 By Larry Sullivan Wing EEO Program Manager POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Civilian Employees, have you completed the mandatory No Fear Act Training as required by the Office of Personnel Management and Headquarters Air Force? May 15, 2002, Congress enacted the "Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002", which is now known as the "No Fear Act." July 20, the Office of Personnel Management issued the final rules and regulations to carry out the notification and training requirements of the No Fear Act of 2002. Two of those requirements are that all civilian employees be notified of the No Fear Act and that personnel receive training relative to the requirements of the Act. Notice was previously provided to base units/agencies to post the requirements of the Act on unit/agency bulletin boards. OPM has established a Dec. 17, deadline for completion of civilian personnel training (re: No Fear Act OPM Rules and Regulations, Section 724.203(d). HQ Air Force has determined the training required to meet the intent of OPM rules and regulations and developed the computer based training and testing at https://golearn.csd.disa.mil. All employees (Appropriated Fund and Non-Appropriated Fund) must complete the No Fear Act Training. Pope civilian employees are asked to complete their training by Dec. 1 to accommodate data collection for reporting to Higher Headquarters by Dec. 17. For personnel with computer access: The No Fear Act Training Course is posted on the Advanced Distributed Learning Services Web site at: https://golearn.csd.disa.mil. Access this Web site, register on the site, and complete the training and test. Tuesday and Wednesday have been set aside for any remaining personnel who do not have computer access or have not completed training prior to Tuesday. Personnel may either contact their HRO or the EEO office to schedule training prior to Tuesday. Training will be conducted at 8 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at building 430 in the MEO/EEO training classroom. For more information, call Larry Sullivan at 394-4490.
