Wingman of the Week Published Sept. 22, 2006 By 1st Lt. Lisa Ferguson 43rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs POPE AFB, N.C. -- Tech. Sgt. Steven Hart Job description: NCOIC, Passenger Services Date you entered military: June 22, 1994 Reason you entered the military: Educational opportunities and world travel Most influential in your career: My wife, Tech. Sgt. Judy Hart, is the person I respect and try to emulate the most. Short-term goals: Finishing up my bachelor's degree and starting a master's program. More importantly, continuing to spend time with my two sons. Long-term goals: Professionally, to achieve the rank of chief master sergeant; personally, to raise our boys as well as we can. If you could change one thing at Pope, what would it be, and why: I would decrease the cost of daycare for our Airmen who are single parents. In my career, I've seen that it is hard to make ends meet on one income. Anything we can do to minimize or eliminate that burden would be beneficial to the Air Force member and their children's quality of life.
