Senior Airman Brian Quay
43rd Communications Squadron 

What's your job description? I provide technical support as a Communications' Computer Systems Controller for both classified and unclassified base-wide network for the 43rd Airlift Wing, 23rd Fighter Group and 10 mission partners to better enable the flawless flow of information throughout Pope. 

Date entered military? July 5, 2004 

Reason en-tered military? I wanted both the job experience as well as money for college. With an opportunity to make my family, friends, and country proud by serving in the world's greatest military it seemed like a honoring place to start a new career. 

Most influential in career? I have been so very blessed to be surrounded by very knowledgeable noncommissioned officers and Airmen who help me achieve goals that had seemed unachievable. With their encouragement and leadership, those goals were met and more set. 

Short-term goals? I would like to complete my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Biblical Studies. 

Long-term goals? I desire to complete my masters, attend seminary and be accepted into officer training school. 

If you could change one thing at Pope, what would it be and why? I would improve the morale and unity between enlisted and officers. While we all have our own reasons for serving, we all share a common goal: to protect and serve our blessed country. No matter what the rank, everyone deserves respect for making that decision. People need to be empowered to see further than what is in front of them. Servicemembers are making a valuable contribution and are needed. By continually reinforcing a person's importance, you will see a noticeable excitement and pride for the task that has been place in there difference making hands.
