43rd Airmen participate in mobility exercise
Air Force Master Sgt. Steven Martinez, 43rd Force Support Squadron, left, James McVay, 43rd Airlift Group inspections and exercises, center, and Staff Sgt. Wesley Sutton, 43rd Airlift Group chaplain assistant, all members of the Group’s inspection team, evaluate exercise personnel deployment function operations on Dec. 16 at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. The Group participated in a deployment exercise here Dec. 12 thru Dec. 16 as part of the new Air Force Commander’s Inspection Program. The deployment exercise focused on the Group’s ability to deploy over 100 expeditionary Airmen and equipment worldwide on short-notice. Group inspection team members evaluated the exercise to provide constructive feedback on areas of excellence and areas for improvement. The commander’s inspection program is a continual assessment of four major graded areas: managing resources, leading people, improving the unit and executing the mission, allowing the Group to focus on mission readiness and effectiveness.
