My goal to become Pope's "Biggest Loser," Week 3 Published Feb. 14, 2008 By Staff Sgt. Jon LaDue 43rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- I had some mixed results in week three of Pope's 43rd Services Squadron's "Biggest Loser." Some days I wake up, go to the gym and for the rest of the day I feel refreshed, vibrant and youthful. On those good days, it feels like I'm back in high school, walking around on game day in my varsity jacket with that certain swagger, ready to run a marathon or tackle whoever came around the next corner. And then there are the bad days. On my bad days, I feel like I've spent an entire year on the couch, watching reruns of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with the blinds closed ... lonely, unproductive and just plain out of shape. With all of that said, this is about the time during one of my "workout plans" where I would give up. I would usually say to myself, "Okay, you gave it a try and nothing happened. Cut your losses, it's time to eat." I feel like I've reached a plateau. If I can just get over this small hump of unmotivation, I can make it through to the end. My primary goal is still to get under 200 pounds, but my secondary goal is to become Pope's "Biggest Loser."
