34th Combat Training Squadron

Mission:
Joint Forces and Airpower... Prepared for War!

Vision:
Airmen prepared for war, fueled by doctrine, and ready to project the Joint Force

Priorities:
Redefine Training Objectives to Reflect Near-Peer Conflict, Expand Joint Training Opportunities, Facilitate AFFORGEN Certification Events

Who we are: We are Air Mobility Command's only Joint-accredited training squadron, and our unit is comprised of eight AFSCs and 41 Airmen across two geographic locations.

Who we support: We support  learning objectives from MAF participants, AMC/A3, the USAF EC, JRTC exercise staff and rotational units, as well as international and coalition forces with 4-6 rotations per fiscal year.

What we do: The 34th CTS designs, facilitates, and collects data for mobility forces during GREEN FLAG-Little Rock (GFLR) exercises. GFLR is the Air Force’s participation in Brigade-level pre-deployment certification events at the Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center. We coordinate shared learning objectives between MAF and Army participants while also designing realistic and integrated Joint tactical scenarios.

How we tie into the greater mission: We offer a tailorable, Joint exercise venue for Army, Air Force, and international forces…allowing each to practice interoperability in a dynamic combat environment.

Our key accomplishments: On July 15, 2022, we administratively transferred from the 19th Airlift Wing to the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group.

Over the last year, we have secured JNTC funding to purchase new Tactical Datalink training equipment, operationally tested AMC’s new KC-46, assisted CAF participants in developing munitions cross-loading procedures, and practiced rapidly resupplying A-10 and B-52 aircraft (ACE weapons transport).

Similarly, we have facilitated certification events for Contingency Response Forces under the Air Force’s new FORGEN cycle and multiple training scenarios for coalition (A400M) aircraft.
