Team Pope Highlight: Staff Sgt. Phim Riggs
TEAM POPE HIGHLIGHT: This week’s #TeamPopeHighlight is Staff Sgt. Phim Riggs, 43rd Operations Support Squadron C-130J Hercules loadmaster and joint airdrop inspector and former First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) non-commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC). While Riggs served as NCOIC of FTEC he guided 58 facilitators through FTEC which later resulted in a 74 percent increase on the instructor pool. He spearheaded a teleworking platform contract and launched six distances learning courses to resolve incomplete professional military education for 325 enlisted members. He also led seven members in 53 joint airdrop inspections equating to 396,000 pounds of cargo. His efforts and leadership on the flight line yielded a Red Erwin Award at the Group level. Chief Master Sgt. Tomio P. Brown Sr., 43d Air Mobility Operations Group command chief, sits in a wheelchair as a child while out with his family. Team Pope Highlight: Pamela Knight
TEAM POPE HIGHLIGHT: This week’s #TeamPopeHighlight is Pamela Knight, 43rd Air Mobility Operations Group chief of protocol. She is a key part of formal events operating properly on Pope Army Airfield. She coordinates and executes distinguished visitor visits, supporting various ceremonies and managing social functions. During formal military events, there are customs and courtesies that need to be followed. Leaders from different events on Pope Army Airfield consult with Knight for her expertise on all things within her purview. Over her time at Pope, she has written scripts, tracked RSVPs, and conducted rehearsals. She has also supported or served as the lead point of contact for over 50 distinguished visits, over 30 change of commands and many more events. Hobbies: Gardening and extreme couponing Rason for Joining: Pope is close to family, and she has two active-duty children in the Air Force Hometown: Kinston, North Carolina

Team Pope Highlight: Tech. Sgt. Ashley Davis
TEAM POPE HIGHLIGHT: This #TeamPopeHighlight features Tech. Sgt. Ashley Davis, Airmen Leadership School Instructor. She won Air Mobility Command’s 2024 AMC A1 FSS Special Duty NCO of the Year. Davis earned the award by serving as commandant and noncommissioned officer in charge while training a new instructor for six months. While serving in both roles, she identified and addressed 19 deficiencies within the program and switched the Chief Master Sergeant Louis Williams Airmen Leadership School to a new records system.
