Team Pope Highlight: Master Sgt. Collin Wanberg
This #TeamPopeHighlight features Master Sgt. Collin Wanberg from the 43rd Air Mobility Squadron. Wanberg is a munitions systems specialist. He recently won the Munitions Maintenance Professional of the quarter for the third quarter of the year for Air Mobility Command. He received this award after fixing a 12-year security vulnerability, guided his team to solve a critical aircraft defect, oversaw fiscal year 2025 stockpile supportability and many more achievements. Wanberg works with his team to execute the AMMO mission where he and his team wear multiple hats. Members stockpile, pull or restore assets, and perform inspections. He and his team must adhere to an extensive number of regulations when executing all the different tasks associated to the mission to ensure safety and security. Team Pope Highlight: Tech Sgt. Tyler Jones
This #TeamPopeHighlight features Tech Sgt. Tyler Jones, 43rd Air Mobility Squadron asset management section chief. He oversees operations of seven sections consisting of eleven Airmen and three civilians. Jones manages the workflow of Airmen and informs them of any gear request that has come in. While managing operations of the sections, he also makes sure all the Airmen are achieving their training requirements. Jones loves teaching the Airmen about the job and how to be leaders of their own. This is why he applied to be a Material Management Technical Training School Instructor. Jones wanted to become an instructor when he first joined. To become an instructor, Jones had to meet different requirements like leadership skills, hold a certain rank and complete an interview. Soon Jones will leave Pope Army Airfield to become an instructor at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, TX. Hobbies: Home Improvement Projects, Road Trips and Travel Hometown: Hammondsport, NY Reason for Joining: Career, Travel and give back to the U.S

Team Pope Highlight: Staff Sgt. Rachel Patterson
TEAM POPE HIGHLIGHT: This #TeamPopeHighlight features Staff Sgt. Rachel Patterson, 49th Combat Training Squadron. She is a C-130 Hercules loadmaster. Patterson is a part of the team that organizes the quarterly Battalion Mass Tactical Week (BMTW). The exercise focuses on simulating challenges that may occur in a deployed environment. Air Force units from other bases and international allies like Canada come to Pope to gain training from BMTW. Patterson brings the different agencies involved together and keeps the different gears working together. While working to plan BMTWs, she is also the security manager for the squadron. To ensure proper security for BMTWs, she checks to ensure all members involved have the proper security clearance for different levels of participation. Once BMTW starts, she helps oversee the exercise and makes sure it runs smoothly. Hobbies: Gaming and hanging out with her dogs Hometown: Beaufort, South Carolina Reason for Joining: Choice between the military or college and I chose the military
