A memorial to Staff Sgt. Brian Daly is displayed at the Hedrick Stadium track during the Tactical Air Control Party annual 24-hour Challenge Run, March 28-29. Staff Sgt. Daly was assigned to Detachment 1, 507th Tactical Air Control Wing, Fort Bragg, N.C. from 1988-1993. In September of 1996, Sergeant Daly was killed in a military free-fall accident while assigned to the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center Military Free-Fall School. Tactical Air Control Party Airmen assigned to Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg, N.C., units participated in the second annual worldwide TACP 24-hour Run Challenge fundraising event, held to honor and raise funds for fallen TACP brothers in arms and their families.
