The Joint Installation Transfer Conference, also known as the Site Activation Task Force, will kick off Dec. 7. The agenda is full with action officers from Air Mobility Command, Air Force Reserve Command and the Army working open action items associated with the transfer of Pope to the Army, inactivation of the 43rd Airlift Wing, establishment of the 43rd Airlift Group, and conversion of the 43rd Medical Group to a Medical Squadron.

Additionally, the teams will validate facility and support requirements as well as associated reimbursable costs. The JITC team will work all issues regarding functional integration, manpower, personnel, facilities, logistics, support agreements and transfer of functional responsibility to the Army/AFRC.

Members of AMC/A1 - Personnel will host separate town hall meetings in the base theater for squadron commanders, enlisted and civilian personnel. Military personnel assignment timelines and civilian personnel issues will be discussed. Specific times will be announced though email and the EIM launch page. Look for detailed results of the JITC in future BRAC articles.
