POPE AIR FORCE N.C. -- Capt. Stephen Williams, 43rd Aerospace Medicine Squadron, was presented a Commander's Coin Tuesday by Col. Craig Berlette, 43rd Airlift Wing Vice Commander on behalf of Col. James Johnson, 43rd Airlift Wing Commander.

The presentation was in recognition of Captain Williams' efforts as the lead on the Difference Maker's golf tournament, where he raised $3,500 to support activities on Pope.

Captain Williams, the TRICARE Operations and Patient Administration flight commander, oversees operations for 15 military, five civilian and five contractor flights.
He also supports more than 250 staff members and more than 9,500 beneficiaries.

In addition to raising this money to assist with activities on base, Captain Williams also serves as Group Patient Advocate, Unit Public Affairs Representative and is an Emergency Operations Center member.

Captain Williams is the 43rd Medical Group Flight Commander of the Year and the AMC Health Plans Manager of the Year.
