Finance customer service Q & As Published Jan. 26, 2007 By Staff Sgt. Anthony Pounds 43rd Comptroller Squadron POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Q: What do you expect from Finance Customer Service? A: "I would like the finance technician to address me, acknowledge that I'm there. Also provide a good atmosphere and have a positive attitude. It helps for the lobby to be organized, like the "One Stop" terminal for example" -- Staff Sgt. Alex Hunter 43rd Airlift Wing A: "They need to provide professional customer service and be knowledgeable of finance- related topics in order to answer questions if needed." -- Master Sgt. Samuel Brumfield 23rd Fighter Group A: "They need to be knowledgeable and friendly. They need to ensure the customer is receiving the correct entitlement. It's also beneficial for the technician to take the time to explain complex financial entitlement and disbursing procedures of which the customer might have limited familiarity." -- 1st Lt. Dan Barton 41st Airlift Squadron Q: What do you expect from a customer visiting the Finance Customer Service section? A: "It would help for the customer to be more informed of the role finance plays. Maybe their squadron could brief them on what finance can do and what's actually handled by different agencies here on base. It would also help if the customer would respond in a positive and friendly manner, and do their best to be patient with the technician." -- Senior Airman Amber Bond 43rd CPTS/ Customer service technician A: "The customer can help ease their visit by doing what they can to make sure they have all the documentation to get their problem or issue handled prior to coming to finance." --Tech. Sgt. Tamara Johnson 43rd CPTS/ Customer service NCOIC A: "Our goal is to provide top quality professional service focused on addressing the customer's concerns and meeting their needs in a timely and accurate fashion. I also expect customers to treat the technicians in a professional manner. They need to provide us the most accurate and complete information possible so we can provide the outstanding customer service they deserve. It's all about, "Helping us, help you." -- Lt. Col. George W. Tombe 43rd CPTS commander
