Secure your valuables Published Jan. 26, 2007 POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The Air Force offers crime prevention programs for Airmen to use to protect personal property 24/7. Educate yourself, your family and your team members. Operation Identification: A program designed to encourage owners of high-value, theft- attractive or highly pilferable property to mark it with an identifying number, as a means of positively identifying the property and establishing ownership in the event it is lost or stolen. Keep a list of all your high value property information in a secure area separate from the property. Brand name, serial numbers, model numbers, cost and condition are examples of information police departments may need. Operation House Watch: A program where military housing residents who are going TDY or on extended leave can have their quarters checked by Security Forces Airmen while they are gone. For initiating a house watch, go to the Security Forces Control Center in building 378. For any questions on these programs, contact the 43rd Security Forces Squadron police services NCO at 394-2264.
