POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. --  Staff Sgt. Jeremy Rey, 43rd Services Squadron

Job description: Assistant NCOIC of Storeroom Operations at the Flight Line Cafe.

Date entered military: I initially entered the Oklahoma Air National Guard in July 1997 and then transferred over to active duty Nov. 28, 2001.

Reason entered military: For the opportunity to attend school and see different parts of the world.

Most influential in career: My wife, Lisa, and two boys, Anthony and Cedric. They give me the motivation and support in everything I do.

Short-term goals: To finish school and get step-promoted to technical sergeant.

Long-term goals: To retire, move out in the country and enjoy the rest of my life with my wife and kids.

What is the best thing about Pope, and why: The Flight Line Cafes catfish on Friday. I think we have the best catfish in and around all of Fayetteville.

If there was one thing you could change about Pope, what would it be, and why: I would add a disk golf course to the park. I grew up playing disk golf, and it would be nice to go throw a few disks after work without having to travel far.
