23rd FG struts stuff in ORI Published July 27, 2006 By Senior Airman Cassandra Locke Staff Writer POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 23rd Fighter Group conducted an Operational Readiness Inspection July 10 through 14. "The Air Combat Command Inspector General Team gave us a thumbs up on every area," said Col. Warren Henderson, 23rd FG commander. "Sixty percent were graded outstanding or excellent." "The group did well. This was a huge turnaround from the last time," said Lt. Col. Rick Johnson, 23rd FG. The group was tested on it's ability to perform aircraft generation, deployment, successful deployments, computer security and the ability to operate a deployment control center. "These grades were more than just the results of hard work — we work hard every day," said Colonel Henderson. "They were the result of a plan that targeted this hard work into specific areas that paid big dividends."
