Pope Army Airbase -- On Friday, June 30, 2023, the members of the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group (AMOG) came together for their much-anticipated annual Summer Bash at Smith Lake on Fort Liberty. This event provided a refreshing break from the office and offered a chance for AMOG's warriors and their families to relax, connect, and celebrate their hard work and dedication. The Summer Bash served as a gesture of gratitude to the 43 AMOG's warriors and their families for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts. It was a day filled with sun, fun, and delicious food, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and enjoyment away from the daily routine. The event not only provided an opportunity to unwind, but it also encouraged the building of strong relationships within the 43 AMOG community. With families and colleagues coming together, the Summer Bash created an environment where bonds were strengthened, new connections were formed, and friendships were nurtured. The Summer Bash also served as the platform for the culmination of 43 AMOG's "Best Squadron" competition. Throughout the year, squadrons had been participating in various events and challenges to earn the coveted title. With the completion of the last three events at the Summer Bash, an overall winner could now be determined. The grand announcement of the "Best Squadron" will happen during the Quarterly Awards on July 28, 2023, affording the winning squadron bragging rights until next year’s competition!
