Team Pope Highlight
TEAM POPE HIGHLIGHT: This week’s #TeamPopeHighlight is Staff Sgt. Phim Riggs, 43rd Operations Support Squadron C-130J Hercules loadmaster and joint airdrop inspector and former First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) non-commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC). While Riggs served as NCOIC of FTEC he guided 58 facilitators through FTEC which later resulted in a 74 percent increase on the instructor pool. He spearheaded a teleworking platform contract and launched six distances learning courses to resolve incomplete professional military education for 325 enlisted members. He also led seven members in 53 joint airdrop inspections equating to 396,000 pounds of cargo. His efforts and leadership on the flight line yielded a Red Erwin Award at the Group level. Run, Chief – Run: 43rd AMOG Command Chief Issues Fitness Challenge to Airmen
Chief Master Sgt. Tomio P. Brown Sr., 43d Air Mobility Operations Group command chief, sits in a wheelchair as a child while out with his family. As a child, Brown suffered from Blount’s Disease, a childhood growth disorder that caused the tibia to bow inward.
